I recently read a Single Dad Romance that I just fell in love with the book of these two longtime friends and just felt the need to share some of my fave Single Dad Romances. Because who can resist a DILF??!!??!! (And for those unsure what is a DILF it is Dad I Like to F*uck) I am so getting my husband a coffee mug for Christmas with this saying on it, hehe!
First up is Prescott Lane’s latest release for what inspired this Blog post ALL MY LIFE where you can find my Book Review.

4. Holy Hotness on a Cracker!!! I have no idea what I just said, but that’s what this book does to me… It is somewhat forbidden, dirty, wrong – but not really, and just overall a steamy DILF Doctor that you hope gets paged to your room, hahaha! Hotness factor is INSANE with this one, just saying!

5. And for my final fifth pick is THIS is DANGEROUS & THIS is BEAUTIFUL since its a duet and not to ruin a surprise but it does center on a Single Dad… I LOVED the first book of this duet series and fell hard for Detective Logan, whew its a good one! And have some donuts on hand!
Today I am sharing with you the easiest way to write a Book Review as Book Reviews are sooo IMPORTANT for authors and fellow readers alike! On Amazon, I have seen authors imply that once their books receive 100 reviews they get special recognition and other perks. I know from experience that authors DO READ their BOOK REVIEWS! Once an author commented that maybe she would name her villains as the rude book reviewers names… So think of them and try to always be kind, even if you didn’t like the book!
Here are 5 things to include in a book review or just a pick one or a few:
Did you like the book or not?
What was your favorite part of the book? Was it where the story took place, one of the main characters? Or was it a supporting character that caught your eye? Be specific, even if you didn’t like the book there had to be something positive to say about some of the words in the book. I feel that it is important to start a review positively as this is why I include it always in the beginning of the book.
If you didn’t like the book or a certain part of the plot explain it now. Did you not like that the main guy in the book is a mega slut… Or that the couple just fell in insta-love and passionately exchanging I love you’s after knowing each other for an hour… Just say it kindly what you might have wished was different in the book. But remember constructive feedback is great for a writer to see what their audience did not care for and they can change it in the future perhaps.
QUOTES! I always (if the publisher doesn’t explicitly state not to quote directly from the book) share my one of my favorite quotes from the book in my review. I actually use them in the beginning of my review on Goodreads to help engage users to read my book review. I always think to myself if I was an author I would want to know which of my words that I created really resonated with a reader. And authors might use that quote as a teaser or a promotional graphic for promoting their book – you never know!
Last but not least! Would you RECOMMEND this book to a friend?
Easy right? Seriously a few sentences as a review for any book will go far. I know from my experience I look at the total amount of book reviews when I am looking for a new book to purchase on Amazon. If its under 100 or even 50 I then check the reviews. So like back in the day of VHS Tapes “Be Kind Rewind” (some of you may not even understand this, hehe!) BUT BE KIND, LEAVE A REVIEW!
Today I am sharing 5 Books that made me cry! You know sometimes you crave those emotionally gripping stories that give you all the roller coaster of emotions breaking you down and putting you back together again. Well scroll down below for my Top 5 List Today!
Happy Friday Book Friends! In case you are finding yourself with lots of free time over the Thanksgiving holiday here are 5 of my Top Read Book Series this year. I promise you if you follow any of my book recommendations you will absolutely DEVOUR these books! I put the books in alphabetical order by Author because I can’t choose amongst the Top 5.
Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day in America, where we celebrate and honor the individuals who have pledged their life to defend our country and freedoms. Honestly, I think that they deserve more than ONE fucking day, but a day is what they have and its much deserved. I have several family and friends who were or are still serving for our military forces. I have seen friends return from war ravaged areas and how it has changed them, not for the better, but eventually they find themselves again. Well today I want to share some of my favorite military romances that I have read in case you are feeling patriotic and wanting to read a book in this subgenere.
Happy Veteran’s Day to our Military Spouses as well! Our soldiers would not be able to do what they do without having someone to believe in them and have their back.
Did you watch the World Series and already miss baseball season? I’ve never been a major major baseball fan, football is more my jam. But I do LOVE going to a baseball game and the beer always tastes better there, ha! I always joked that my children will not play any sports that are not timed, but I just signed up my oldest child for Tee-ball since Soccer is not working out so well…. And pretty much my baseball exposure relates to this scene in Sex and the City – of course – Carrie Bradshaw is EVERYTHING!
Ok so onto my Baseball Romance Reading List! I have only read the first book listed, but have already added the rest of the books to my TBR on Goodreads!
Now go sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” with some peanuts, ice cold beer and cracker jacks while you devour one of these steamy sport romances! Maybe even some version of this Beer Pong…
I am nearing my ONE YEAR Bookstagam Birthday / Anniversary whatever you want to call it!
I can’t believe how this past year my life has changed from this wonderful, amazing book community!
First off about me! I am a Stay at Home Mom to three cute, but very young kids and I needed an outlet to share my love of reading with other people along with needing new books and authors to me! I had devoured everything on KINDLE UNLIMITED in the ROMANCE Department at this point and needed some new books to devour along with that BOOK HIGH that every Bookworm craves! I didn’t even know that there was a BOOKSTAGRAM community on Instagram and WHOA I was hooked once I started!
Throughout this month I will be sharing some helpful tips to get out there in the Bookstagram Community on Instagram along with how to get Advance Reader Copy (ARCs) from authors before books are released, and of course how to score FREE BOOKS! Make sure to check back on my BLOG and I will be hosting some AMAZING GIVEAWAYS as well!
Do you feel this need to shout from the rooftops about the best book that you recently read?
Do you enjoy taking pretty pictures and posting them on Instagram?
Do you want to help promote your favorite books along with supporting the author?
If you answered YES to these questions you definitely should join the Bookstagram Community! I promise its low, low drama and we don’t bite! (As long as you don’t diss our authors 😉
Create a UserName! This is probably most important because this is like your business and what everyone will refer to you as. I tend to always read in my bed and there is this overpriced bedding store in my community and somehow I just could not get Bookworm Between the Sheets out of my head. Its probably not my favorite and can be twisted into many different meanings, but it works for me.
Get Involved! Go LIKE other bookstagrammers, authors, publishers, PR Firms pictures and posts. COMMENT on pictures that catch your eye or start a discussion about a book that you enjoyed. I love it when people comment and share their love for a book that I enjoyed as well. And think you might just make the day, month, week, year for that person/author with your kind comments!
HASHTAGS!!! This is very important! Hashtags are SUPER IMPORTANT these are how your posted pictures are going to get out there. Make sure to get creative if you are only using #Bookstagram #Bookstagrammer there are TONS of posts daily that your post is most likely going to get overlooked. I love using #ReadingJunkie #RomanceAddict and ALWAYS Hashtag the Author of the book along with its Title.
PICTURES! Don’t feel stressed that your pictures have to be perfect. A lot of people post pics of books and coffee or books on their beds. Seriously don’t feel like you have to compare and compete with other Bookstagrammers especially the ones who have been around for awhile. Everyone starts somewhere and just have fun with it! A bouquet of flowers you purchase at your local grocery store for under $20 can go a long way with creating fun book pics with flowers for your account #BooksandFlowers . A lot of people do monthly themes where they use the same book props/background for their pictures. Be YOU, have FUN, and enjoy fangirl-ing our favoring books together!
MAKE FRIENDS! I have made some really great friends through the Bookstagram Community. I speak to these friends more than most of my friends and family! They get my reading obsession! I have also met so many great authors that I message with constantly and it has been a lot of fun getting to meet them eventually in person!
I hope these tips help you navigate the Instagram Book Community feel free to message me with any questions, tip, comments, concerns you may have and
Welcome to the Bookstagram Community if you are new here!
