As a Blogger, I try to read as many unique books that would cater to my followers. You all know that Romance Novels are my jam and at times I deviate a little bit to give structure and a nice break in other reading genres. But, I just love my romance stories and will never quit them! So onto my list – it is so hard to limit my books but I can’t leave you with a Top Reads List of 17 books. Well I guess I could, but I feel like it should be like Instagram Top 9 pics of the year where I pick my Top 9 Reads of the Year. My criteria for being in my TOP READS is that reflecting back on the list, I should be able to recall the plot and some characters names (sorry I read A LOT and I tend to forget characters names and story details…). If a book consumed me like I tend to find myself thinking about this book after the fact (certain things remind me a character/part of the story). And my major thing is that when I read the book I HAD to DEVOUR it, because why else would I include it in that list?
Sidenote: None of these authors have paid and/or influenced my views of being added to this list. I have selected these authors’ books as I truly, truly, truly LOVED these books!

Lisa Suzanne’s A LITTLE LIKE DESTINY series just consumed me. This entire series is included in my TOP READS because when I read these books I devoured them. Straight up read them cover to cover barely taking a break, but only to have a shot of tequila and remind myself to breathe! If you love a love triangle story READ THIS SERIES!

Kennedy Ryan’s GRIP series is another series that just took over my life! There is so much to say about these three books in the series, but I don’t even know where to begin. It is about a mismatched couple with so many differences from each other, but you just HAVE TO READ it. I read these three books back to back. The final book, STILL, is broken up into 2 parts. The first part I absolutely fell in love more with the couple than I ever thought that I could. The second part, had me crying so hard (probably the most ever from a book) that I most likely will ever be able to read again. BUT I will devour this series and Part 1 of STILL and just skip over Part 2 to the Epilogue.

Charleigh Rose’s MISBEHAVED is definitely a book NOT to miscalculate and forget to read it. I felt at times it had a bit of Colleen Hoover’s TOO LATE vibes in this story. So if you have read that book I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read MISBEHAVED. It has that wrong side of the tracks/student-teacher forbidden romance.

Rachel Van Dyken’s FRATERNIZE is just AMAZING! I had read a few of her other books this year and was not that impressed, BUT when I read FRATERNIZE I could not put it down and did I mention its about Football?!?!? If you have followed me for awhile then you know that I am all about the FOOTBALL ROMANCES! This is another love triangle – no cheating – that gives you a surprise. I can’t wait to have a reread getting to experience the book in an entirely different way knowing how it ends. And there is a sequel for the characters with INFRACTION debuting January 9th!

Laurelin Paige’s DIRTY FILTHY RICH MEN is dark, steamy, and H-O-T! If you like a total Asshole, Dark, and Twisted Guy (Sign me up, ha!) then you will fall so hard for Donovan Kincaid! Donovan, Donovan, Donovan I don’t know what it is about you that makes me swoon so hard for you that wouldn’t even look twice at me hehe!!!

Have you been introduced to LJ Shen’s Hot Holes yet? If that’s a No, then you need to stop what you are doing and go meet my fave Hot Hole VICIOUS – STAT! Here is another asshole hotness that I just fell for – maybe I really do need therapy – and could not get enough of. Shen currently has four published books in her Sinners of Saint series but my heart will always be with #1 VICIOUS!

The craziest, craziest book series that I read this year goes to The NEW CAMELOT TRILOGY by Sierra Simone! This book series just took me for a wild ride. It was a total mind fuck! I mean I don’t even know how to accurately explain this book series to you. If you love a good political, MFM, light BDSM/Dominant, and a twist on the Camelot tale you will fall in love with Sierra Simone’s writing! This book makes you feel smarter reading it too, hehe.

Lisa Suzanne gets another spot on my TOP READS List with STALEMATE. This book has everything for a perfect romance novel! The main characters: Emme & Axel have been dating for awhile and moving towards that next step of marriage. But Emme isn’t interested so they are at a STALEMATE in their relationship. I can’t pinpoint as to why I just fell in love with this story, but Lisa’s writing with this love story is just PERFECTION! I even changed my phone timer to the chickens because it reminded of this love story.

My final book to round out my Top 9 Reads for 2017 goes to THE MAP THAT LEADS TO YOU by J.P. Monninger. First off, I am usually not a fan of insta-love, but in this book it works perfectly!!! The crossing of lives between Heather & Jack on a train ride to Amsterdam changes their life course indefinitely along with their current travel plans. The hilarious, intelligent banter between Heather and Jack just has you falling in love with them from their first conversation.
If you have always dreamed of backpacking through Europe with your girlfriends or have experienced it then this is the book for you!
